Trade Deadline

Well, the Mets did nothing. We here at MetsMD jumped the gun on the Scott Kazmir/Crawford/Pena deal. So we f***** up by assuming that Scott would be on the team. However, at least we didn't say that Adam LaRoche is joining the team. It was reported he was, and then he ended up back with the Braves. Its trading season; everyone effs up somewhere in speculation. Here are a rundown of deadline deals:

• Victor Martinez to the Red Sox for Justin Masterson and 2 prospects
• Jarrod Washburn to the Tiger for Luke French and a prospect
• Nick Johnson and his salary paid for by the Nats to Florida for LHP prospects
• Joe Beimel to the Rockies
• Adam LaRoche to ATL for Casey Kotchman
• Orlando Cabrera to Minnesota in return for a prospect

Obviously the biggest deal is the Martinez one; Halladay remains a Blue Jay. And why Omar could you not get Nick Johnson?
