Another Game, Another Loss, Another Injury

Lets take the positives from this game: Jon Niese will now be in the rotation.
Lets take the Negatives: We lost 7-1. With the loss, we are now 9 back of Philadelphia, we lose 3 out of 4 to Atlanta, Fernando Nieve is gone from the rotation, not Livan Hernandez, and Fernando Nieve has a strained right quad, that I fully expect to become a torn right quad. He has an MRI scheduled for today. I really do not understand why Jerry wanted Luis Castillo to bunt Pagan over after he doubled to lead off the game. Castillo has the second best OBP on the team (among active players), and with runs at a premium, don't you want people to get on base so you can score runs? Joe Morgan liked the play, so that should definately send up a red flag. Tim Redding continued to show why he should not be a major league pitcher, and Elmer Dessens and Pat Misch put gasoline on the fire.
Stupid Decision of the Day: Having Castillo bunt Pagan to third in the first inning. If it was Cora, or Francouer, okay, but Castillo and his .388 OBP? No.
Thought of the Day: The Mets are worse then the Buffalo Bisons right now. They have better pitching.
Up Next: Mets at Washington, 7:10 ET.
Livan Hernandez (5-5, 5.10 ERA, 4.70 FIP)
J.D. Martin (NO RECORD, 8-3, 2.66 ERA, 2.77 FIP in AAA Syracuse)
