As reported here.
Stoner, 24 was 7-7 with a 3.96 ERA, 4.19 FIP and a 4.45 tRA in Buffalo this year. This translates to (per baseball prospectus) a 4.87 DERA, and a 4.99 FIP. Hey, he can't be worse than Oliver Perez, right?

Thole Called Up
Josh Thole will be called up when rosters expand. He will wear number 30.
Well now, at least we don't need to worry about him and the Rule V Draft.
Up Next for the Mets: Mets at Rockies, 8:40 PM ET
Mike Pelfrey (9-9 4.80 ERA 4.10 FIP 4.81 tRA) takes on
Jorge De la Rosa (12-9 4.72 ERA 4.08 FIP 5.23 tRA)
By the way, this is the 100th post of Mets MD. Hopefully the Mets will win, on our 100th post day (?).

Billy Wagner traded to Sox
He's been traded to the Red Sox will decline his $8 million option, but they will offer arbitration, meaning they will get a draft pick. The Mets will get 2 players to be named later, which according to Bart Hubbuch are 2 AA players. We here at MetsMD wish him the best of luck with the Red Sox, and thanks for all the memories, Billy. (The good ones, not the 4 run blown save against the Yanks in '06, or the 2 inning failed saves against the Phils in '07. Or the '06 playoffs)

Wagner has been claimed on waivers
Apparently it is the Red Sox or Rays. I do not like it. Both those teams will screw us. I'd rather keep Wags, and get 2 draft picks next year, (he's a Type A free agent) or make him the closer and trade Blow-Rod. Because Blow-Rod's walk rate is higher than ever, and his k-rate is lower then ever, all signs of a pitcher's decline. And he has a player option in 2012 for $17.5 million.

Mets trade for Anderson Hernandez
He's baaaaacccck. And better then ever before, as he is batting .257/.310/.320, much better than his career average. At least he replaces Angel Berroa. And knows how to field. The Mets traded second base "prospect" Greg Veloz for him. Veloz, 21, had been "hitting" .232/.297/.303.
